General Manager

Shannon Donnelly

Shannon Donnelly oversees all operational facets of the Ottawa Jr. 67's, with a strong emphasis on team recruitment, roster management, player development, and essential hockey operations. Her mission is to create a program that equips players not only with the skills needed to excel on the ice today, but also with the tools to thrive off the ice in school, post-secondary education, and in life.

At the heart of the program is a commitment to developing well-rounded individuals, ensuring that our players leave with everything they need to succeed in their future endeavors. Since 2014, Shannon has been actively coaching and mentoring in minor hockey, guiding countless athletes through the 67's program and providing them opportunities to advance to the next level. Her track record is impressive, with many players successfully pursuing their post-secondary education while continuing to play hockey (67's Commitments). Shannon's goal is to elevate the 67’s program to new heights, making it a comprehensive destination for all aspiring athletes.

 

Community Engagement Coordinator

The Ottawa 67's are excited to introduce the role of Community Engagement and Fundraising Coordinator, a pivotal position dedicated to fostering strong connections between the program and the community. This coordinator will spearhead initiatives aimed at hosting the next generation of female hockey players at Ottawa Jr. 67’s home games, creating an inclusive and inspiring environment for young athletes to engage with the sport.

In addition to enhancing game day experiences, the coordinator will play a critical role in involving Ottawa 67's players with community outreach activities. By encouraging players to participate in local events and mentorship programs, the initiative aims to cultivate not only elite athletes but also outstanding individuals and leaders within the community. The goal is to instill core values of teamwork, respect, and leadership in young players as they develop their skills on and off the ice.

 

Program Fundraising Coordinator

The Fundraising Coordinator will be tasked with developing innovative strategies to secure financial support for the 67's program. This funding will significantly aid in player development, program marketing, and the overall growth of the organization. By building lasting relationships with local businesses, organizations, and community members, the coordinator will help ensure the sustainability and enhancement of the 67s program, ultimately benefiting all involved in the pursuit of hockey excellence.

 

Business Manager

The Business Manager plays a vital role within the Ottawa Jr. 67’s program, serving as the backbone of administrative support for all team initiatives. This position involves managing essential tasks such as communication with parents and stakeholders, as well as organizing registration processes and overseeing roster submissions to ensure smooth operations. The Business Manager will work closely with the General Manager to align program objectives and facilitate effective planning and execution of team activities. Additionally, this role encompasses oversight of the program budget, ensuring financial resources are managed efficiently and in alignment with the organization’s goals.

 

Hockey Operations

Jarrett Thompson

Jarrett Thompson has been appointed as the Hockey Operations Coordinator for the Ottawa Jr. 67's! In this pivotal role, Jarrett will oversee roster development at U15 and U18, lead recruitment efforts, and track player development opportunities, ensuring that our athletes receive the exceptional support they need to thrive both on and off the ice.

With extensive experience in minor hockey, including his time as president of the Nepean Girls Hockey Association, Jarrett brings a wealth of knowledge and insight to our program. His background in coaching and advising young athletes has equipped him with a deep understanding of the college and university recruitment process, and he has successfully guided many players in the Ottawa region on how to connect with university scouts and coaches.

Jarrett’s focus aligns perfectly with our mission to develop not just elite hockey players, but well-rounded individuals ready for the challenges that lie ahead. His strong connections within the 2011-2013 age groups, along with his respect among parents and local communities, will be invaluable in attracting top talent to our program.

 

Skills Coordinators

Alderic Denis (Perfect Skating) & Jessica Schroeder

We are excited to introduce our dedicated skills and Technical coaches who will be joining the Ottawa Jr. 67's program, providing our players with a competitive edge right here within our organization. With the addition of these specialized coaches, our athletes will no longer need to seek extra development outside of team practices, ensuring that they receive the comprehensive training they need to succeed.

Our skills coaching roster features Alderic Denis the Manager and Lead instructor at our corporately owned Cumberland, Gloucester and Ottawa Centre locations and Jessica Schroeder, two exceptional instructors committed to improving our players' abilities.

Alderic Denis specializes in on-ice movement and skill enhancement, delivering meticulously designed training sessions aimed at refining techniques and increasing agility. His supportive learning environment fosters skill development, allowing players to thrive in their training.

Jessica Schroeder, recognized as one of the leading female instructors in the city, brings vast experience and a strong dedication to developing young athletes. Her focus extends beyond individual skill execution; she also emphasizes improving hockey IQ and applying learned skills effectively in game situations.

Through our weekly sessions with Perfect Skating (Alderic) and Jessica, players will benefit from personalized, one-on-one training that addresses their individual needs. This tailored approach allows for deeper skill enhancement without the need to seek additional training outside of our team practices.

 

Technical Coordinator

Jessica Schroeder

Jessica Schroeder is the appointed Tactical Team Hockey Coordinator, entrusted with the vital role of establishing a comprehensive program flow for systematic and tactical teaching within the organization. With a focus on developing players' skills and understanding of the game, they will guide coaches in implementing strategic methodologies in day-to-day practices and team activities.

Jessica’s responsibilities will encompass overseeing a progressive curriculum that spans from U15 to U22 age groups, ensuring that young athletes receive consistent, age-appropriate training that fosters their development. Schroeder aims to enhance the effectiveness of coaching strategies, promoting a cohesive learning environment across all teams.

Through her leadership, coaches will gain the tools and knowledge necessary to implement these strategies effectively, leading to improved team performance and a deeper understanding of hockey tactics among players. The collaborative efforts will ensure that players are not only equipped with technical skills but also a comprehensive understanding of game strategies that will serve them well into their future in the sport.

 

Goalie Development Coordinator

Rachel McQuigge

Rachel McQuigge, a former goaltender for the PWHL Ottawa Charge, brings invaluable professional hockey experience and a strong passion for nurturing the next generation of goaltenders. As a coach in our program, Rachel showcases exceptional coaching abilities and serves as an inspiring role model for our young players. She will create comprehensive off-season and in-season plans for our goalies, collaborating closely with the team’s goalie coaches. Our program prioritizes the development of goalies, providing elite training to prepare them for provincial, national, and collegiate levels.

 

Social & Career Development Coordinator

Sandra Howell

Sandra Howell is a visionary leader in Canadian aerospace and a tireless advocate for women in leadership, whose career has been defined by resilience, excellence, and service. She is the Vice President of Program Development and Government Relations at De Havilland Defence, where she drives strategic partnerships, supports government and industry alignment, and advances the company’s long-term defence programs. Her career spans key areas including aircraft development, flight operations, and Quality, all contributing to De Havilland’s mission to protect and connect communities worldwide.

Sandra’s leadership journey began early. After losing her father and grandfather in a tragic accident at age thirteen, she stepped into a role of responsibility as the eldest of four girls—an experience that shaped her resilience and lifelong commitment to empowering others.

Entering the male-dominated aerospace industry with no prior experience, Sandra joined PAL Aerospace and quickly rose to become the company’s first female Director. She led key functions across Operations, Quality, Safety, Training, and Security, and contributed internationally to programs such as missionized aircraft deliveries for the Dutch Navy.

In 2009, Sandra joined the Canadian Coast Guard, where she led the highly successful Helicopter Renewal Program—procuring and fielding 22 new helicopters ahead of schedule and under budget. Her leadership earned multiple national awards, including the Distinction Award and the Prix d’Excellence.

Sandra’s influence extends well beyond corporate boardrooms. A passionate advocate for women in aerospace, she mentors through DeHavilland’s PropelHER Program and supports Women in Security and Defence. Her leadership style—strategic, empathetic, and empowering—has inspired countless others to pursue leadership paths of their own.

Her dedication to service also shines through in her volunteer work. Sandra has been deeply involved in the Ottawa Women's Hockey community, serving in various leadership roles with the Ottawa Junior 67’s, the Ottawa Women's Hockey Association, and the Nepean Women’s Hockey Association. Through these programs, she has helped countless young women develop not just as athletes but as leaders. Following her husband's leukemia diagnosis in 2018, in collaboration with Shannon Donnelly, General Manager and Head Coach of the Ottawa Jr. 67’s, Sandra co-founded the annual “Skate for the Cause” event to raise funds for leukemia research—a powerful example of her ability to turn personal hardship into meaningful action.

In every facet of her life—career, community, and advocacy—Sandra Howell exemplifies what it means to lead with purpose. Her story is one of strength, integrity, and transformation, and she continues to be a force for positive change in aerospace, in sport, and in society.

 

Player Advisor & Mentors

Sarah Thompson is a remarkable graduate Syracuse University, where she enjoyed a successful collegiate career as a CHA Champion in 2022. Over her time with the Orange, she played in 121 games, accumulating 29 goals and 20 assists for a total of 49 points, which included eight power play goals and three game-winners. Not only has Sarah excelled on the ice, but she has also made significant contributions off the ice as a community leader. As a 2024 top five finalist for the Hockey Humanitarian Award, she created, launched, and manages "Sticks Together," a non-profit organization dedicated to providing children in disadvantaged areas with opportunities to learn and grow through the sport of ice hockey. Sarah's dedication to making a positive impact extends internationally, as Sticks Together now sponsors ice time and transportation for girls and women in the Kenya Ice Lion program, allowing them to skate, learn, and chase their dreams. Recognized for her academic achievements, she is a 2024 AHCA All-America Scholar and a four-time AHA All-Academic honoree. Congratulations to Sarah on being named the 2025 Hockey Humanitarian Award Recipient, a prestigious accolade honoring student-athletes who exemplify leadership and community service.

Abby Glandon is entering her second year with Laurier USPORT, bringing with her a wealth of experience and leadership. As a former team captain of the Ottawa Jr. 67’s, she was instrumental in nurturing a positive culture within the team, setting a standard for her peers. Abby’s journey showcases her dedication to the sport and her passion for helping others grow, making her an ideal mentor for aspiring athletes looking to navigate their own paths in hockey.

Emma Eryou is in her fourth year at the University of Connecticut (NCAA DI), where she exemplifies resilience and determination. As a current captain at UConn, she has been a driving force in shaping the team’s culture and is committed to mentoring young players by sharing her experiences and encouraging them to persevere through adversity.

Marieve Roussel has been a devoted player with the Ottawa 67’s from a young age, successfully progressing through the program to fulfill her dream of playing at a higher level. Now at Laurier (USPORT), she is contributing to a team ranked in the top 5 in Canada. Marieve’s contagious enthusiasm and commitment to helping other female hockey players achieve their goals make her an inspiring mentor, dedicated to guiding aspiring athletes towards AA hockey and university-level competition.

Sarah Howell transitioned from the Ottawa Jr. 67’s to Ottawa U, where she practiced with the varsity team while completing her final junior year. After committing to Laurier (USPORT), Sarah quickly made her mark as the starting goalie during the playoffs of her first year, earning the rookie of the year award. With her exceptional leadership skills, Sarah continues to be a cornerstone of the Laurier team, dedicated to guiding young athletes in balancing their academic and athletic pursuits.

Tiffany Hill, one of the original players for the Ottawa Jr. 67’s, has built a remarkable career in hockey. After a successful collegiate stint at Dartmouth University, she opted to extend her NCAA journey by taking a fifth year at Penn State. Now, Tiffany has transitioned to professional hockey in Sweden, where she exemplifies the commitment and hard work required to achieve one’s dreams. Her experience and insights will be invaluable to mentees navigating their own paths in the sport.

Tristan Thompson is currently in her second year at Northeastern University, where her journey has been marked by resilience. After battling injuries during her freshman year, Tristan dedicated herself to returning stronger, completing an extensive training program at the Canadian Strength Institute. She finished at the top of her team in fitness testing and is passionate about mentoring the next generation of women’s hockey players, helping them succeed both at the minor hockey level and in their future academic endeavors.

 

Off-ice Training Staff: Canadian Strength Institute

Sean Young - NHL Pittsburg Penguins Strength & Team Canada Men's Hockey Conditioning Coach 

Sean founded the Canadian Strength Institute in 2010. Growing up on a farm in the small town of Ennismore, Ontario, he was taught the value of teamwork, setting goals, and working hard to obtain them. He represented Team Canada as a National Track & Field athlete, competing in a variety of National, World Championship and Olympic events. Sean has been acknowledged as a leader and inspiration to fellow athletes and coaches. In 2012 Sean was presented with the prestigious Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, for his efforts as a guide runner for Paralympian Jon Dunkerley, and helping the Paralympic movement grow in Canada. Sean has taken his experiences, visions, and principles and applied them thoroughly within his own life. Growing up as a farmer, Sean quickly developed a strong work ethic that is now applied to his everyday life. His limitless energy and enthusiasm gave him the capacity to launch and operate a successful business as a strength coach all while representing his country as a Canadian athlete. He has created invaluable relationships throughout his athletic career by developing relationships with amateur and professional athletes in a variety of sports. Sean has also built a network of associates in the Ottawa business community throughout his time residing in Ottawa. Qualifications Include: Honours Degree in Sciences from the Ottawa University; Certified level 3 PICP; Facial Stretch Therapy Level 3; BioSignature® Modulation Certification

Carolina Parravano 

Carolina holds a Bachelor of Physical Education degree from Brock University, while having a post-graduate diploma specializing in Exercise Science for Health and Sport Performance. Following her education, she attained the designation of Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist through the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology and holds a certification in Functional Movement Screening. She has trained many athletes from NHL to NCAA Women’s Hockey while also helping everyday individuals attain their goals.
She also holds a competitive background in hockey and soccer, with being credited captain for her college soccer team.
