Off-Ice Training Program

Canadian Strength Institute

Our physical off-ice program is delivered in partnership with the Canadian Strength Institute (CSI), a premier organization dedicated to helping athletes achieve optimal health, performance, and injury resilience through superior coaching and scientific training methods. CSI specializes in personalized and sports-specific strength and conditioning programs tailored to individual athlete goals, providing comprehensive assessments, biomechanical work, and monitored progression to enhance athletic performance. The program emphasizes structural balance, linear speed development, and functional strength, all designed to prepare our players for the demands of competitive hockey.

CSI’s staff brings extensive experience working with elite athletes across professional and amateur levels, ensuring our players receive expert guidance in a first-class training environment. Their holistic approach integrates cutting-edge physical testing, manual therapies such as Fascial Stretch Therapy, athletic therapy treatments, nutrition counseling, and recovery strategies to promote long-term athletic development and injury prevention.

By collaborating with the Canadian Strength Institute, our off-ice program creates a year-round, progressive training pathway that complements on-ice skill development, helping our players build strength, speed, agility, and stamina systematically from youth to elite levels. This partnership ensures our athletes develop not only as hockey players but also as resilient and well-conditioned individuals prepared for the physical challenges of the sport.

In addition to the training, Canadian Strength will support our teams multiple times a week with a progressive training approach for athletes aged U15 to U22. Unlike traditional training packages that offer limited sessions once a week, they follow our teams closely, providing in-app workouts, educating players on effective recovery and warm-up routines, and conducting post-practice workouts at our rink. They have also supplied gym equipment for workouts away from the gym. This in-season program is designed to fit within the team schedule, with resources available at all times to address additional training needs, recovery, and more. Furthermore, Canadian Strength offers guidance on nutrition and supplements, providing a complete off-ice training experience.
